Nat Geo Live — Nature Roars Back

Emmy Award-winning cinematographer Bob Poole will speak on Mozambique’s Gorongosa National Park, a jewel of Africa’s parks system until civil war almost destroyed it. There, he joined forces with rangers and scientists (including his sister, renowned elephant researcher Joyce Poole), on perhaps the biggest conservation project on the planet.

An Evening with Eli Saslow

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Eli Saslow, is called “one of the great young journalists in America.” He won the 2014 Pulitzer Prize in Explanatory Reporting for a yearlong series of stories about food stamps and hunger in the United States. His stories were praised as “unsettling and nuanced...forcing readers to grapple with issues of poverty and dependency.”
