Mid Mountain Marathon

Despite Self-Quarantining and Social Distancing, we have created a way to still encourage you to get out on the trails for some sanity-saving pandemic recovery, all while supporting Mountain Trails this summer with Virtual Running! You can run, job or walk anytime! Everyone of any ability level is welcome!

Presented by Salomon Running, the Mid Mountain Marathon is a true trail runner’s marathon and is the final stage of the Triple Trail Challenge. The course starts at Silver Lake/Deer Valley through Park City Mountain Resort and then winds down through the Utah Olympic Park trail system to finish at the bottom of the Nordic jumps at the Utah Olympic Park. Course will be marked prior to August 1st.  We will have markings before and after each intersection: one to warn you a course change is coming and two; to ensure you, you are headed in the right direction.The Mid Mountain Marathon embodies the essence of mountain trail running with intermittent technical sections, a few sustained climbs and fast downhills. Voted best trial marathon in Utah!

HOW VIRTUAL WORKS:

• Simply register
• Once we have confirmed your registration, we will send you; your race bib and finishers medal (to address noted during registration)
• You will have the entire month of August to run the course. If circumstances don’t allow you to run the course, run the distance/elevation at a location of your choice
• Once you have run the course,  email your name, bib # and finish time to: ginger@mountaintrails.org. Results will be posted online September 2, 2020
• Since we can’t cheer you across the finish line, let us celebrate your accomplishment on social media! Take a picture of yourself with your bib and finishers medal and post it to Facebook and Instagram with your time and hashtag: #midmountainmarathon; #virtural&virusfree
• This virtual event is unsupported  – NO aid stations or medical staff will be on trails.  Please follow COVID social distancing guidelines
